Inspiriert von nach Hesses Gedicht ‘Weg nach innen’ nennt die russische Pianistin Sofja Gülbadamova ihr Programm ‘Idylle’. Nicht nur Verträumtes gibt es darin, aber viel Poetisches, Stücke, die der Pianistin besonders gut gelingen. Generell ist sie in den Miniaturen erfolgreich, weil sie sie auch farblich differenziert und sehr rhetorisch gestaltet. Nicht so gut ist die Barcarolle von Chopin, die zwar attraktiv beginnt, im weiteren Verlauf aber etwas schwerfällig wirkt.

Ein Highlight der CD sind die keck gespielten, phantasievoll artikulierten, hier sehr französisch angehauchten Poèmes aus Le Rossignol Eperdu von Reynaldo Hahn. In der Selektion gibt Gülbadamova den Hahn-Stücken mehr Relief und Präsenz als Yoonie Han auf dem Steinway-Label.

Wer sich eine Stunde idyllischen Klaviergesang gönnen will, dürfte von dieser Produktion nicht enttäuscht werden.

It is not only dreamy, but there are a lot of poetic works, pieces that the pianist is particularly good at. In general, she is successful in the miniatures because she creates them in a very rhetorical and differentiated way. Not so good is Chopin’s Barcarolle, which begins attractively, but is getting a bit ponderous as it progresses.
A highlight of the CD is the pert and imaginatively articulated performance of Reynaldo Hahn’s Poèmes from Le Rossignol Eperdu. Gülbadamova gives the Hahn pieces more relief and presence than Yoonie Han on her Steinway release.
Those who want to treat themselves to an hour of idyllic piano music should not be disappointed by this production.
