Auf diesem Album erklingen Lieder des Solothurner Dichters Josef (1875 – 1957). Der Bauernsohn, der sich dem Lehrerberuf verschrieb, dichtete in der Solothurner Mundart als Dienst an der Heimatkunstbewegung und der Dichtung im Volkston.
Diesen Volkston treffen sowohl der Komponist als auch die Interpreten. Das ergibt sehr natürlich klingende Interpretationen, denen Daniel Behle freilich mehr an Charakter abgewinnen kann als Stephanie Bühlmann. Dafür gelingen der Sopranistin manchmal sehr einfühlsame und zart-liebliche Interpretationen.
Das Textheft enthält alle Texte im Original, die für den, welcher der Mundart nicht kundig ist, nicht immer voll verständlich werden.
This album contains songs by the Solothurn poet Josef (1875 – 1957).
A farmer’s son who dedicated himself to teaching, he wrote in the Solothurn dialect as a service to the Heimatkunst movement and to poetry in the vernacular.
Both the composer and the performers capture this patois tone. This results in very natural-sounding interpretations, from which Daniel Behle is able to extract more character than Stephanie Bühlmann. On the other hand, the soprano sometimes manages very sensitive and tenderly sweet interpretations.
The booklet contains all the lyrics in the original, which are not always fully understandable for those not familiar with the dialect.
