Gut drei Jahre nach den ersten drei Werken der Reihe legen die beiden Interpretinnen nun auch den zweiten Teil mit den weiteren Sonaten für Cembalo und Violine von Johann Sebastian Bach auf einem neuen Label vor.
Wiederum bieten sie ihre Sicht von feiner Hand geführt an. Vielleicht mag man eine noch größere Vertiefung in die Stücke daraus hören, dass sie auf strukturbeachtender Basis ein geschmeidiges ansprechendes Miteinander erhören lassen, dass ihnen Räume der Darstellung gibt, ohne den barocken Charakter zu untergraben. So können sie überzeugend und intensiv diese Werke vermitteln. Dabei machen sie auch deutliche Unterschiede zwischen den schnellen, eher rhythmisch geprägten Sätzen und den langsamen, bei denen sie emotionale Schichten aufscheinen lassen. Damit betonen sie auch, dass gerade diese Kammermusik schon über die barocke Form hinaus in eine mehr galante Kompositionsrichtung deutet.
A good three years after the first three works of the series, the two interpreters now present the second part with the other sonatas for harpsichord and violin by Johann Sebastian Bach on a new label.
Again they offer their vision guided by a fine hand. Perhaps one might hear an even greater interpretative depth since they allow one to hear a supple and appealing harmony on a basis that allows structurally observant performances without undermining the baroque character. Thus they can convincingly and intensively convey these works. They also make clear distinctions between the fast, more rhythmic movements and the slow ones, where they allow emotional layers to emerge. In doing so, they also emphasize that this chamber music in particular already points beyond the baroque form in a more gallant compositional direction.
