Speranza Scappucci
Italian conductor Speranza Scappucci (50) has been appointed Principal Guest Conductor by the Royal Opera House in London. Scappucci will assume the role in September 2025, when the Royal Opera House’s incoming music director, the Czech conductor Jakub Hrusa, will also start in his new position.
From 2017 to 2022 she held the position of Musical Director at the Royal Opéra de Wallonie in Liège.
