Protests against the Armenian government’s controversial pension reform plans have led to a strike  of opera singers and musicians at the National Opera and Ballet Theater in Yerevan. Yesterday’s performance of the opera ‘Anoush’ by Armen Tigranian was cancelled a few minutes before the curtain was supposed to rise. Hundreds of spectators queued up outside its box office for ticket refunds.
