Since her homophobic statements on her website, Georgian opera singer Tamar Iveri’s career is down. To rescue herself as a singer, she plans now a charity concert dedicated to gays, lesbians and other sexual minorities. At a press conference in Tbilisi, Iveri said that the concert is aimed to apologize to LGBT people for the letter which was posted to her Facebook page in 2013. The planned concert will take place in Tbilisi on October 11, which is the National Coming Out Day (NCOD).
