Benjamin Zander has made a new recording of Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony with London’s Philharmonia Orchestra and The Philharmonia Chorus. The PR is already running on full speed, although the release is only scheduled for July 16 by Brattle Media.
But that’s we are moving to: a musical world so overloaded, that aggressive PR work is needed to gain attention. Anyway: Pizzicato’s Remy Franck listened already to the music and his review is ready … to be published on July 16. One thing can be said to tease the reader’s interest. With only 58’48 Zander’s recording presents the fastest ever Ninth.
