The Sao Paulo State Symphony Orchestra has announced that Thierry Fischer’s contract as Music Director will be renewed up to 2027. Fischer has held this title since 2020. In addition he will take up responsibilities of the artistic direction of the orchestra, pursuing an integrated approach of programming and musical realization.
Fischer is also Music Director of the Utah Symphony, Music Director of the Orquesta Sinfónica Castilla y León and Honorary Guest Conductor of the Nagoya Philharmonic Orchestra.
