Following the two initial editions of the La Maestra International Competition for Women Conductors in 2020 and 2022, the Philharmonie de Paris and Paris Mozart Orchestra have announced the 3rd edition which take place at the Philharmonie de Paris from 14 to 17 March 2024.
The press release says: « The 3rd La Maestra Competition promises to be even more ambitious, with a prestigious and gender-balanced international Jury, and stronger promotion for women composers in every one of the Paris rounds. »
The 2024 Competition Jury will be chaired by Nathalie Stutzmann – Music Director of both the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and Kristiansand Symfoniorkeste, and Principal Guest Conductor at the Philadelphia Orchestra – a key figure in the international music world.
Online registrations for this 3rd Competition will be available from March 2023.
