The Toronto Symphony Orchestra (TSO) has concluded the 2015/16 season with a surplus for a third consecutive year. This was possible due to a 20-year record high in donations and allowed the orchestra to reduce its accumulated deficit by approximately $4 million (from $12 million to under $8 million). In 2015/16, the TSO presented 44 sold-out performances and welcomed 23,000 first-time attendees.
