The musicians of the Argentinian National Symphony Orchestra have not been paid their wages for months, some since last year, the Argentinian newspaper El Pais says. Moreover, the next concerts and all national and international tours are suspended. The music director of the orchestra, Chilean conductor Francisco Retting has left the orchestra and returned to his country, denouncing bad treatment by the Ministry of Culture. According to El Pais, he also has not received any payment for several concerts, as did the soloists and some guest conductors.
