The Board of Directors of the Opéra de Toulon in France voted to dismiss its permanent chorus for economic reasons. The date on which the dismissal will take place has not been communicated to staff.
An extraordinary works council meeting will be held shortly to decide on the details of the planned process.
The choir currently employs 21 permanent staff.
