What a delightful, delicious and unforgettable evening with French libertine poetry, lasciviously recited by Alain Carré and, above all, a collection of frivolous songs performed by Dame Felicity Lott, winner of the ICMA Lifetime Achievement Award 2016. She was able to draw the finest nuances from melodies by Reynaldo Hahn, Jacques Offenbach, André Messager and others, giving every single word its meaning, emphasizing with a refined sensual feeling the varied expressions about forbidden and secret love. What an immense pleasure to have been invited to share this evening with a small audience of a hundred at the unique salon at the Jaquemart-André Museum in Paris.
