Universal Music Group has acquired a 49% stake in the music company [PIAS] with its various services and labels, among them, Harmonia Mundi. According to the press release under their new agreement, “[PIAS] will remain fully independent, and its founders Kenny Gates and Michel Lambot will retain majority control of the company”.
The deal follows the conclusion a strategic global alliance between the two companies in June 2021.
