Strange things happen again at the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow: Chief conductor Vassily Sinaisky asked for an immediate cancellation of his contract. The management decided to comply with his request. So, as from today, December 3, the Bolshoi has no musical director. The management barely commented this, just expressing regret that Vassily Sinaisky went out in the middle of the season – two weeks prior to the opera premiere of Verdi’s ‘Don Carlo’.
