Diese interessante Zusammenstellung von den selten gespielten Doppelkonzerten von Antonio Vivaldi ist eine echte Bereicherung für das Repertoire, zumal die Interpretationen der Musiker von La Serenissima authentisches Musizieren garantieren. Darüber hinaus spürt man die Spielfreude in jedem Takt, und das historische Instrumentarium wird gekonnt in den Dienst der Sache gestellt.
1994 von ihrem künstlerischen Leiter Adrian Chandler gegründet, hat sich La Serenissima im Laufe der Jahre einen exzellenten Namen gemacht ohne allerdings zu den bekanntesten Ensembles zu gehören, was eigentlich nicht gerechtfertigt ist.
Die Solisten der Aufnahme sind alle vorzüglich und man merkt, wie präzise und natürlich alle Musiker an einem Strang ziehen. Ein rundum gelungenes Album, das durchgehend überzeugt.
This interesting compilation of the rarely performed double concertos by Antonio Vivaldi is a real enrichment for the repertoire, especially as the interpretations by the musicians of La Serenissima guarantee authentic music-making. Moreover, you can feel the joy of playing in every bar and the historical instruments are skillfully put at the service of the cause.
Founded in 1994 by its artistic director Adrian Chandler, La Serenissima has made an excellent name for itself over the years without, however, being one of the best-known ensembles, which is not really justified.
The soloists on the recording are all excellent and you can tell how precisely and naturally all the musicians pull together.
So, this is a successful album that is convincing throughout.
