Yaroslav Shemet

25-year-old Ukrainian-Polish conductor Yaroslav Shemet has been appointed as Principal Conductor and Artistic Director of the Henryk Mikolaj Gorecki Silesian Philharmonic in Katowice/Poland.
Currently, he also holds the position of the first guest conductor of Neue Philharmonie Hamburg and of the Principal conductor of the National Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra INSO-Lviv. Since his graduation Yaroslav Shemet is also the youngest academic lecturer at the I.J. Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznan in the Institute of Conducting.
