The York Symphony Orchestra (Pennsylvania) has extended its Music Director’s contract. 58-year-old American conductor Lawrence Golan will be in this position for another 10 years! He has agreed to an 8-year contract extension, which takes him to YSO’s 100th season.

Conducted successfully by Lawrence Golan who serves as Principal Guest Conductor of the Bayerische Philharmonie in Munich, Germany, and as Music Director of Washington state’s Yakima Symphony Orchestra, Pennsylvania’s York Symphony Orchestra, and Colorado’s Denver Philharmonic. In addition, he is conductor of the Lamont Symphony Orchestra and Opera Theatre at the University of Denver.
