Taipei Chinese Orchestra (TCO) announced that Yu-an Chang will take over as principal conductor starting May 2022. Former principal conductor Qu Chun Quan, who served as the head of the orchestra since January 2013, has left his post at the end of 2021.
Chang studied at National Taiwan Normal University’s Department of Music. At Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler in Berlin, he worked for his Master and Meisterklasse degree under Professor Christian Ehwald and Professor Hans-Dieter Baum.
