Viola player Yuri Bashmet, 63, is the artistic director of a new project which was announced in Moscow: a residence for composers. The apartment block will comprise eight buildings plus a central area aimed at creating a unique creative atmosphere.

This centre will be a creative laboratory for the training of new talents. An important element of the infrastructure will be open-air amphitheatre, which is located in the central square of the quarter. There will be concerts, live music, theatre performances, and other events citywide.
