Today, Thursday 14 August, the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra and Dimitrij Kitajenko are scheduled to play the opening concert at the 60th Split Summer Festival. A festive program is to be heard, with Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scheherazade op. 35, Piotr I. Tchaikovsky’s Italian Capriccio op. 5 and Maurice Ravel’s Bolero. During the 2014/15 season Dmitrij Kitajenko, artistic advisor of the Zagreb Philharmonic, will conduct several concerts of the Croatian orchestra.
